It is an implant for treating ocular surface disorders that can replace the amnion, the only treatment material for corneal disorders patients.

There is no product that can replace the amnion among the products currently being sold.

Amnion is difficult to obtain as a human derived materials, but almost the only cure for eye surface disease that has been revealed so far.

Amnion is a thin layer of biological membrane that forms the placenta, consisting of cuboidal epithelial cell layer, basement membrane, and epilepsy layer which has been in use since the 1970s.

Amnion secretes various growth factors that inhibit inflammatoty cytokiness with efficacy and reduce the erosion of inflammatory cells to promote regeneration to epithelial cells to relieve pain.

In addition, it has antibacterial properties that promote healing of wounds and reduce the amount of scars.

Amnion has long been used for treatment of ocular trauma and various ocular surface disorders and for reconstructive operation of ocular surface.
